 ഡോ. ഷാഹുല് അമീന് കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കല് കോളേജില് നിന്ന് എം.ബി.ബി.എസ്സും, മനശ്ശാസ്ത്രരംഗത്ത് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മുന്നിര സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ റാഞ്ചിയിലെ സെന്ട്രല് ഇന്സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സൈക്ക്യാട്രിയില് നിന്ന് എം.ഡി.യും കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. മൂന്നുവര്ഷം സെന്ട്രല് ഇന്സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സൈക്ക്യാട്രിയില് സീനിയര് റെസിഡന്റായും രണ്ടുവര്ഷം കട്ടപ്പന സെന്റ്ജോണ്സ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില് കണ്സല്ട്ടന്റ് സൈക്ക്യാട്രിസ്റ്റായും സേവനമനുഷ്ടിച്ചു. ജൂലൈ 2009 മുതല് ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില് കണ്സല്ട്ടന്റ് സൈക്ക്യാട്രിസ്റ്റാണ്. വിവിധ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സൈക്ക്യാട്രി ജേര്ണലുകളില് പത്തിലധികം പ്രബന്ധങ്ങള് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മാനസികപ്രശ്നങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ബോധവല്ക്കരണക്ലാസുകള് എടുക്കുകയും ആനുകാലികങ്ങളില് എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്. ഇപ്പോള് ഇന്ത്യന് മെഡിക്കല് അസോസിയേഷന് ചങ്ങനാശേരി ശാഖയുടെ സെക്രട്ടറിയും ഇന്ത്യന് സൈക്ക്യാട്രിക്ക് സൊസൈറ്റി കേരള ഘടകത്തിന്റെ മലയാളം പോര്ട്ടലായ മാനസികാരോഗ്യത്തിന്റെ എക്സിക്ക്യൂട്ടീവ് എഡിറ്ററുമാണ്.

Dr. Shahul Ameen passed MBBS from Calicut Medical College. He earned his MD. (Psychiatry) from Central Institute of Psychiatry Ranchi, one of the pioneer Psychiatric institutions in India. He subsequently worked as Senior Resident in Central Institute of Psychiatry Ranchi, for three years, and as Consultant Psychiatrist in St. John's Hospital Kattappana for two years. Since July 2009 he is serving as Consultant Psychiatrist in St. Thomas Hospital Changanacherry. He has more than ten publications in peer reviewed Psychiatric journals to his credit. He is the Secretary of Indian Medical Association Changanacherry branch, and Executive Editor of Manasikarogyam , a Malayalam portal on mental health run by Indian Psychiatric Society Kerala Chapter. |
